Organization

Welcome

The R&D Management Conference has taken off in recent years with attendance rising past 500. With its strong links to the R&D Management Association (RADMA), the conference is the centre of an ecosystem including the R&D Management Journal, the annual conference, regular specialist workshops and the practice-oriented website www.RnDToday.com. Beyond the R&D Management, several other journals are represented in Meet The Editor sessions.

As a focal point in the annual calendar of the community of academics and practitioners involved in the field, we all felt the gap of not being able to hold the 2020 conference. The 2021 conference was brilliantly created as an online event by the University of Strathclyde, but we all missed the rich interactions that occur when we are together in lecture theatres, meeting rooms and bars.

So 2022 gives us the opportunity to come together again as a community. And nowhere could be better to meet than Trento and reflect on Innovation for People and Territories.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Trento on July 9-13, 2022!

Why you should attend the R&D Management Conference 2022 in Trento

The R&D 2022 edition aims to enable the collaboration between academics and practitioners to let innovation help people and territories reflect on sustainable solutions to the emergencies we are facing worldwide.
The Conference promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to innovation as the convergence of knowledge in diverse domains is key to facilitate the assessment of technologies on which to invest, analyze the economic, social and legal opportunities and barriers to their adoption as well as evaluate the implications of their diffusion for people and territories.

Being part of the conference will benefit both scholars and practitioners: the former need to define new interpretative frameworks to investigate technological solutions to global challenges and the latter are called to enable the transition of organizations towards sustainable business architectures.

The University of Trento is proud to welcome participants in Trento and make the R&D 2022 a valuable occasion to let different types of knowledge converge and create a momentum to reflect on the types of value that innovation can generate for all of us.
If you want to know more about the rationale of the overarching theme of the R&D2022, please read the interview given by Alberto Nucciarelli – associate professor at the University of Trento and Chair of the Conference – to R&D Today.
